
Patrick M. Campbell, attorney to Local 91 and deeply involved in unions all of his life including following in the footsteps of his Dad, Patrick “Paddy” Campbell, President of the Carpenters and Joiners Union, died this past February, 2008 after battling cancer for many years. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Diane, four children and four grandchildren. Patrick was a Captain in the US Army Artillery, a graduate of St. Bonaventure and Fordham Law and a lifelong resident of Rockland County.
We regret to inform you of the passing of Greg Turner, Ray Turners son. Greg died of a heart attack at the age of 48. The family will have a memorial service for him on Sat., Jan. 19th @ 11:00 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Shrub Oak, NY.
While Ray has been in the VA Hospital at Castle Point for the past 2 months, he will be permitted to attend the service for a short while.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Don McKenzie. Donald G. MacKenzie a resident of Port Chester, NY died October 12, 2007. He was 76 and was born February 27, 1931 in Greenwich, CT to the late George and Helen Matthews MacKenzie. He was raised and educated in Greenwich, CT and graduated from Greenwich High School. He served in the United States Army from 1952-1954. Mr. MacKenzie was a retired Asbestos worker for Local 91 in Westchester. He was married to Patricia Clancy in 1968 in Port Chester. Mrs. MacKenzie died October 13, 2001. Mr. MacKenzie was a 50 year member and past Captain of Brooksville Engine & Hose Company of the Port Chester Volunteer Fire Department. He was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester and was active helping with the church bingo. Mr. MacKenzie is survived by his son Peter MacKenzie, daughters Diane Gumpel and husband Stephen of Wappingers Falls, NY, Donna MacKenzie of Monroe, CT, Debra Vaccaro and husband Craig of LaGrange, NY, Colleen Marando and husband Steve of Monroe, NY and Heather Rinello and husband Joseph of Port Chester, NY, brother John MacKenzie of Greenwich, CT, sisters Sue O'Hara of Foxboro, MA, and Carol Smith of Fairfield, CT, 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his sister Jean Fogg. Visitation will be 5-8PM on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Monday, October 15, 2007 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 260 Westchester Ave., Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY. TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE - Arthur T. Boylan, 75, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, died at home. He had been an asbestos worker for Local #91 of International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers of White Plains, NY. He was also the business manager and funds administrator, retiring in 1991. A local resident since 1983, he previously resided in Monsey, NY. Mr. Boylan was an active member of the Jawonio School for the Handicapped in New City, NY and drove for Cancer Care. He was a member of K of C #7551 of St. Martin's Church, Disabled American Veteran's Association, and Red Fox Club of Marist College. He enjoyed attending the Marist College basketball games. He was also on the fundraising committee for the New St. Boniface Church in Monsey, NY and was a longtime patron of The County Players Theater in Wappingers Falls, NY. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Air Force. He belonged to St. Martin de Porres Church. Born July 27, 1931 in New York City, he was the son of George Boylan and Loretta Arthurs. He attended Fordham Prep. His first wife, Maureen R. Sullivan predeceased him in 1968. His second wife, Mary Ann Feldman, whom he married in 1976 at St. Joseph's Church, Spring Valley, NY survives at home. Other survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Cynthia Boylan, Mahwah, NJ; son, Daniel Boylan, Lake Carmel, NY; daughter, Mary Beth Boylan, Poughkeepsie, NY; grandchildren, Cory and Craig Boylan; sisters, Loretta Hickey and Georgetta Barbera, Yorktown Heights, NY and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Boylan, brothers, Daniel, Robert and George Boylan and sisters, Margaret Johnson and Lillian Peteren.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Thomas A.Deegan in the early morning of December 20th at the Castle Point Veterans Hospital in Wappingers Falls New York.
Thomas was born in Yonkers on June 26th, 1948. He served his country from 1968-1970 as a United States Marine. During this time, he was sent to Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart.
Thomas joined Local 91 in 1970. He retired in 2003 after 33 years in the business.Thomas is survived by his son Colby, Daughter McKenzie and Granddaughter Ashlyn. He will be missed by all.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Anthony F. Candela father of Andrew G. Candela (third year apprentice). Anthony passed on October 25th at the age of 72.
He is survived by his son Anthony and daughter, daughter in-law Denise, granddaughter Sophia, brother Charles Candela and sisters Rose Paparella and Betty Hortan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Anthony will be greatly missed by all.
